About the Program

The Penquis Leadership Institute is designed to help interested local residents sharpen their leadership skills and gain a better understanding of the Penquis region and its community development needs. Participants will emerge from the program with a better understanding of their own strengths and skills, along with a working knowledge of the people and systems that drive our region.
All program sessions will be scheduled at local sites during week days, minimizing travel and disruptions to work and family schedules. Local presenters will be used and local team projects assigned, maximizing networking opportunities for participants.

Enrollment: The Penquis Leadership Institute will keep enrollment small in order to maintain the highest standards of quality learning. Each year’s class will have only 15-20 members, and class participants will be selected to represent a broad cross-section of the Penquis region’s population.

Payment: Tuition for the program is $350 per person; $150 payable at the time of acceptance to the program, and $200 when the program starts. Tuition includes all course fees, meals and a certificate of completion representing 7.0 Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
